Things to Remember
-
If you won’t have a car, you might want to rent an apartment close to the university itself or the university Shuttle Route, because public transportation in St. Louis is limited.
-
If you will have a car, you might want to check St. Louis Post Dispatch, Apartment Search, or Apartments.com for apartments in other parts of the city.
-
Do not reserve an apartment before you arrive. Often people don't like what they get over the internet and change their minds. In this case, they will lose their deposits.
-
All landlords will ask for deposit payment ($250-800). You should be ready to pay it.
-
Once you arrive, there will be many posters, flyers and signs at the university campus and Office for International Students and Scholars (OISS), announcing rentals and roommate searches. Check them out. You can find a roommate or apartment with their help.
